We finally have golf clubs. Neil was able to get a good deal on a set that was in stock at the local golf shop, Ready Golf, and Mike at the shop ordered mine and gave me a better price than anything we found online. We used them for the first time last night when we went up to the local recreation area, about 1.5 miles from our house, to the driving range. This isn't just amy driving range. It is the place they built specifically for the Remax Long Drive Championship Finals. The finals will be held next month, watch it on ESPN on Christmas Day, so currently, the park is opened as a driving range on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
The box for my clubs reads: Combines modern technologies with inspired designs for maximum playability to heklp women play a better game. Well, last night that wasn't true. Using my driver and 7 wood it looked more like I was playing croquet than golf. Neil was hitting great. See the big light polls in the photo? He was even able to hit one!
The park is beautiful and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. There is a small 5 hole, flat course in town; it was a nine hole but four of the holes got washed out. That is where we will play out first real golf course, golf.
