55th Birthday

We had a very busy weekend celebrating my birthday. On Friday, we went to St. George, Utah for the Dixie Round Up Rodeo. It was Tough Enough to Wear Pink night and almost the whole outdoor arena was in pink. The picture you see is one of the acts between rodeo events, the Texas Thunder. These beautiful horses weigh 2000 lbs. each.

We went to a local farm, Bundy Farm in Riverside, to get some fresh melons. I will write more about this after our next visit when the Cassaba Melons are ripe. We took the river road home, and if you look across the river you will see a few of the many cows that are on the farm. I included this picture because the farm is about 9 miles from our house and I wanted you all to see that there is green and water in the desert.

Neil bought me a cake and picked out the candles. I am glad he remembered how old I am! If you look closely, you can see the "Awesome Aunt" sticker that Aydan sent to me, Thanks, Aydan. We had cake at home before we went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant, Katherine's at the Casablanca Casino. Mona Lisa, in DaVinci Diamonds, gave me a great birthday gift!
